Mar 12, 2021 The DPS Meter is an informational accessory purchased from the Traveling Merchant for 5. It displays the DPS (damage per second) of the weapon that last dealt damage to any entity. Jan 07, 2018 DPS meter is a tool helping massively to learn and improve. It is showing if the player is casting skills timely and if the combination of skill used gives expected efficiency in term of damages. It becomes even more helpful if doing seriously WvW, Raids and Fractals. Jan 24, 2013 I wish there was an optional dps/damage done/damage taken meter displayed by party members. Mostly for entertainment. To show off and other fun purposes. We play game for fun or to achieve and show something, so why not. Multiple Targets: The current DPS rankings offer strictly single-target and splash-AoE (1 main target+2). There are scenarios in-game where there are a lot more targets which can allow for much more aggressive AoE. Player Variables: Skill, latency, gear, a lucky string of crits, etc. Can all significantly impact in-game DPS. Rankings can help. I know the use of DPS meters in AO is hotly debated, as utility is such a big part of the gameplay. Are you planning on refining this in the future to give maybe a 'play score' or something. Like, giving each group member a score that accounts for dmg done, damage taken, healing done, cc performed, cc broken, I could go on but I think you probably get the point.
